In the year’s least surprising news, Battlefield V (that’s 5, not the letter V) has been announced for the Xbox One. A reveal trailer, no doubt running on PC, has been pushed out by EA and wow, it looks good.
A seemless cut from in engine video to live gameplay is particularly well done and all of a sudden World War II is back in vogue.
Release date is October 16th if you’d like to mark your calendar.
There’s some big changes coming to the multiplayer with playing by yourself set to become even less appealing.
We’ll have more in the coming weeks. Questionable women fighting on the front line in World War II aside, this looks pretty smart.
You can pre-order here for early access to the beta, if that’s your thing.
