This is not the first time Ninja Blade has made contributions in support of mental health organizations. Last October they marked World Mental Health Day by donating the proceeds of all Hellblade sales that day to Rethink Mental Illness.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is an action adventure which tackles themes of mental health. It is the ambitious product of a development team determined to produce an AAA quality game within an indie environment. It originally launched on Steam and PS4 late last year and sold 500,000 units within the first three months.
The Norse inspired story follows heroine Senua’s quest to save the soul of her lover and includes themes of dealing with loss and mental health. It was critically well received for its treatment of the subject matter and execution.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is available now for Xbox One and is Xbox One X Enhanced.
