Upcoming Blizzard title, Overwatch, has finally been given it’s release date along with details of how you can get involved in the Early Access Beta.
Blizzard Entertainment today confirmed that Overwatch will be available for Xbox One, and other platforms on May 24th 2016.
“Overwatch is a team shooter for everyone, with deep, cooperative gameplay, fast and fun competitive action, and a diverse range of larger-than-life heroes,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “We think PC and console players everywhere will have a great time in the game, and we’re excited to give everyone a chance to try Overwatch out for themselves ahead of its May 24 launch.”
If you can’t wait quite that long, then what you need is to get in on the Early Access Beta which begins May 3rd, but only for those who pre-order the game which you can do right now at playoverwatch.com. May 4th is also reserved exclusively for those who pre-order the title. Following that, from May 5th until May 9th other gamers can join the battle as the Early Access Beta opens up to invited gamers who have yet to commit themselves with a purchase.
Pre-ordering Overwatch has additional benefits too, including receipt of previously revealed Noire skin for Widowmaker, the game’s ice cold assassin. Also the Beta access pre-ordering grants not just you your place, but also one friend of your choice too. The perfect package for a couple of gamesharing buddies, is it not?
